For nearly two months, a back-and-forth battle has been waged between Shasta County health officials and the WaterWorks Park in Redding.

The latest salvo comes from the Shasta County Environmental Health Division, which announced over the weekend that it is revoking the park’s public pool permit on July 27. The permit rejection is due to “an immediate threat to public health and safety,” the county health department wrote in a press release.
